Cover Idea

So I've been mucking with the lulu.com for a little bit and I think I've got the formatting process nearly complete. I might have to figure out a way to upload everything. I have the rough draft on there right now in the correct size that the book will be (6x9) in PDF form so yay! That's what I did last night.

Now, of course, I have to come up with a cover idea for the book.

I have a few:

- I like the idea of the kids running across the book. Like Pippi carrying Sid and the rollie backpack and bolting behind Alice and having Peter jog happily on the back cover the summary there.

- Have the box of books blown up to be big with the kids' legs dangling out with the title on the box. On the back cover, there would be another box that would print the summary

- Have the rollie backpack flopped over with the books spilling out. Each book would then spelling Introducing. The. Classic. Lit. Kids. and the box would be on the back with the box that would print the summary just like previous back cover idea.

- I wish I could get something like The Beast Mobile but that would probably just be too much.

There's also a matter of how the hell I'm going to get these images. I can't draw, so I have to find someone who can.  Now, the person I got commissioned to draw the kids (which is quite amazing and fills me with happiness everytime I look with it on my phone) is way, way too busy for my nonesense. She's a real hard worker and now's not a good time, so she's out.

Then there's her friend who I may commission all too often to be honest. I feel a little self-conscious. She says she likes whatever work she can get but again I commission her so often that surely, it must get dull...

The last artist I commission from is amazing and so, so nice. The only problem is that I don't know if she'll accept a mail-in and she's busy with commissions at the moment.

There's also the matter of finding someone who will allow me to use their art for commerical purposes. (That said, I would totally give them credit where credit is due and write their name and where to find the rest of their art.)

And thusly - I'm on a search! First for the right idea and then for an artist so if anyone want to send something my way, I'd be greatly appreciated.

LET'S GET THIS THING PUBLISHED! :D

Yours Dearly,

H.N.
